ESTABLISHED IN PAINSWICK 1828
Our individually designed bedrooms enjoy the outstanding views and convenience of this centrally located hotel. Lovingly restored, making the most of its elegant Georgian features, The Falcon offers superb, locally sourced dishes in our dining room and bar where there is space to relax and recharge. Even better, after a day exploring this stunning corner of The Cotswolds, a walkers’ delight, choose to stay in one of our stylish, characterful rooms and relish the chance to retreat from ‘real life’. Explore or retreat but always restore.
Full of original features and each with its own unique charms, each one of our beautiful rooms make for the ideal sanctuary. Some are in the main house and others in our converted coach house, but each of our 11 bedrooms is furnished with an eclectic mix of antiques and original artwork and come with stylish, modern bathrooms.
An archetypal Cotswolds’ village, Painswick is a beautifully preserved corner of this wonderful region. The village is peppered with mellow honey-coloured stone houses and has the striking St Mary’s and its famed churchyard with its world famous 99 Yew trees, just across the road from The Falcon. The Cotswolds Way passes through the village, making it the ideal base for walkers and their four-legged pals.
We love our food and wine at The Falcon and at The Balfour Winery we produce our own incredible wines at our award-winning winery in Kent. Bubbles, crisp whites and lovely reds – we’ve got it covered. When it comes to food, the focus is on quality, seasonal dishes which make use of the wonderful produce grown across the region.
